Miguel Ruibal was born in 1955 in Montevideo, Uruguay, where he grew up. Miguel is a painter, he studied at the National School of Fine Arts in Montevideo and with the master Miguel Ángel Pareja. Throughout his life he has lived in Caracas, Venezuela and in Terrassa, Spain, where he resides nowadays and where he maintains his artistic workshop. According to Miguel, his workday involves more or less long waiting times, as a consequence of the drying on the materials with which he is working. These waiting times allow him to revise his own annotations, texts written by others, sketches and diverse stains, including photographs.
Miguel exhibits uninterruptedly since 1975 both in America and in Europe. He has been awarded in repeated opportunities for his work. His artwork can be found in private collections in Spain, USA, France, Netherlands, Mexico, Italy, Brazil, Venezuela, Canada, Ireland, Israel, Argentina and other countries. His work is also available on the Juan Manuel Blanes Museum in Montevideo.
